Reprogram a used control module

2003 Z4 E85 2.5 with 5 speed manual. OK, customer brings in this car and says that center brake light would not come on. They took to BMW and were told at the wire was pinched and shorted the LCM output. They purchased a used LCM and installed themselves, now of course the car throws a chassis discrepancy code causing the abs light to be on all the time. Maxisys elite is what I'm using. My question is there anyway to flash the LCM to accept the used part ornis this a job for the dealership? Thanks -

I am not sure of you Maxisys E but, Maxisys Elite but Maxisys Pro could do the job by going in to Programming Options and select the module you have changed...........You need to have a good network and a good battery charger to have 13V all the time...........
